What about Insulation and Heat Emitters?
Insulation
Heat pumps work efficiently if your property is well insulated.
If you have unfilled cavity walls, no loft insulation or single glazed windows, we would recommend you have these upgrades made to your property for the heat pump to work effectively.
Heat Emitters
UFH works best with a heat pump but this doesn’t mean radiators can’t be used to heat your home.
As heat pumps run at a lower temperature we may just need to upgrade some of the radiators sizes to match the heat loss of your rooms.
Are Heat Pumps Noisy?
Most of the heat pumps we install are quiet Mark certified meaning you can rest assured they won’t be causing you any sound nuisance.
On a site survey we will also perform the permitted development sound test which is a requirement of MCS to ensure that at any living area the sound pressure is no more than 42dBa.
Government Boiler Upgrade Scheme

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) will be open to properties located in England and Wales.
The government will provide upfront grants of £7,500 for the installation of air source heat pumps.
Eligible installations:
Homes and small non-domestic buildings on and off the gas grid.
Owner-occupiers, private landlords and people who build their own homes (custom-builds).
New buildings and social housing will not be eligible for support.
